Poetry

Imperious

By

Belly

Belly writes from a prison in Queensland.

“How the Kangaroo Got Her Pouch” by Michael, available for purchase on Boom Gate Gallery

As I find myself in perpetual motion

I endeavor to imitate the Roo and Emu

However;

It is imperative to check my blind spots

To glance into into rear-vision mirrors as I change lores

Consideration

Consequentiality

Concernment

I yearn to spend loving time with my Mother

To reunite with my sister and brother

To introduce my kin to the new man I am

Standardise

Uniformalise

Classicise

Looking into the future right now is a daydream

But like the A-Team

I love it when a plan comes together.

‘Love is Rebuilding My Life’

By Phillip

There’s irony, hypocrisy, fallacy, a vast ocean of distance to cross. The “saint”, the “sinner”, it’s lunacy, that the ignorant could save the lost.

Methfairytale

By Karie

I’m not belle of the ball, not the very least, but we have something in common, I’m in love with a beast. But the beast is not a person but a drug that I call meth, I’ve been talking to myself for hours, I’m running out of breath.

Nostalgia

By Dennis

Nostalgia is a gentle haze, a soft and fading, golden maze, where time itself begins to blur, and memory’s touch is sweet and pure.
