Don’t Let Life Dim Your Beautiful Light

By

Eleanor

Eleanor writes from a prison in WA.

A pen illustration of a smiling flower.

My beautiful people!

‍

Life is what you make it, my friend.

The only opinion that should matter is your own. Why?

Because beauty is in the beholder’s eyes and in the end, the grass isn’t always greener on the other side.

‍

It’s just a matter of perception,

And at times we need to look through those rose-coloured glasses,

At least till the storm cloud passes,

Cos in the end it’s only you who’s gotta live with your reflection.

‍

So always try to be the best you that ya can be,

As there are always new opportunities just round the corner, you’ll see.

Just don’t let the expectations or pressures of life

Drain the colours from your spirit or dim your beautiful light

‍

Love from me.

Time, for me, was at first just “the clock on the wall” at high school. When is lunch? When will this test finish? And when is home time?
