Card Game – War!

Objective:

The goal of the game is to have the highest card in each round to win points. The player with the most
points at the end wins.

Set up:

You will need two or more players and a deck of cards (no jokers). Shuffle the deck and deal the entire deck evenly among all players. Each player keeps their cards face down in a stack.

Game play:

  1. Each player simultaneously flips the top card from their stack and places it face up in the center.
  2. Compare the values of the cards. Cards rank from 2 (lowest) to Ace (highest). Suits do not matter in this game.
  3. The player with the highest card wins the round and collects all the cards played in that round, placing them at the bottom of their stack.
  4. If two or more players tie with the highest card, a “war” begins:
  5. Each tied player places three cards face down and one card face up.
  6. The highest face-up card wins all the cards on the table.
  7. If there’s another tie, repeat the war process.
  8. Players continue flipping cards each round until one player has all the cards or the game reaches a predetermined time limit or number of rounds.

Winning the Game:

The player who collects all the cards or has the most cards when the game ends is the winner.
