The Power of Writing

By
Anthony

Anthony writes from a prison in VIC.

I’d like to give a shout-out to Vanessa from prison in WA and welcome to About Time. I discovered About Time early last year 2025 and always look forward each month for the read. Last year in two seperate issues I had stories published and seeing them in the national prison newspaper was the best feeling.

I’ve always had a love for writing but never had the time, now incarcerated I have nothing but time so I decided to put pen to paper and with two stories published I am now working on writing a book.

Sometimes when we write something worth publishing it is when we least expect it. For me writing is a powerful tool that helps with my mental health.

Keep up the good work and never give up writing, I look forward to future stories.

Anthony, from Victoria
